Mr. Vella was born in Brooklyn, New York and now resides in Shark River Hills, New Jersey. He graduated from St. John Vianney High School, Albright College in 1992 with a Major in Accounting, and Seton Hall University School of Law in 1995.

Mr. Vella was admitted to the New Jersey and New York Bar in 1995 and is admitted to practice in the District Court of New Jersey. He joined the Firm of Tucci & Collins, P.C. in April 1997, and became a partner with the firm on January 1, 2000, when the firm name was changed to Tucci, Collins, and Vella, P.C. Prior to joining the Firm, he was employed by the Office of the Monmouth County Prosecutor and was an associate with Hugh B. McClusky and Associates in Asbury Park, New Jersey and represented the City of Asbury Park. On April 1, 2004, he left the firm of Tucci & Vella, P.C. and formed the firm of Collins & Vella, L.L.C.

Mr. Vella presently represents Middletown Township Zoning Board of Adjustments, Hazlet Township Planning Board, and the Monmouth County Bayshore Outfall Authority. He has also represented Ocean Township Board of Education, Shore Regional Board of Education, Long Branch Board of Education and Henry Hudson Regional School District. He has appeared before numerous local School Boards, Township Councils, Planning Boards and Zoning Boards. He handles all litigation, including: municipal, juvenile, County, Federal and Administrative Law matters.
